Defensive Pistol & Rifle Coaching Built Around Real Skill Development

A single class can introduce concepts, but it takes repetition for skills to become reliable. Without continued training, marksmanship, gun handling, and decision-making fade.

Many people take large group classes at indoor ranges and never get the opportunity to slow down, ask questions, and put in meaningful reps that actually build confidence.

Raleigh Gun Coach is built around ongoing pistol and rifle coaching. The goal isn’t just exposure to information. It’s consistent improvement in a focused, outdoor training environment that makes people want to come back and keep developing.

Why Ongoing Training Matters

One class gives you information.
Consistent training builds confidence and capability.

Firearms training works a lot like fitness, martial arts, or learning an instrument. You don’t get strong from one workout. You don’t progress in jiu-jitsu from one class. You don’t learn piano from a single lesson.

Skill comes from showing up regularly and working on the right things.

I do offer one-time sessions, but most of the people I work with train on a consistent schedule. That’s where meaningful improvement happens.

Skill Assessment & Training Plan

This is where we start.

Before deciding how often to train, it helps to know where you actually are.

The assessment session allows us to:

• Evaluate fundamentals and current habits
• Identify strengths and weak points
• Talk through goals and expectations
• Build a clear training plan
• Get familiar with each other and see if we’re a good fit
• Get comfortable with the outdoor range environment

This first session isn’t just about performance. It’s about clarity, communication, and making sure we’re a good fit.

The session includes both live-fire and dry-fire so I can see how you handle the firearm and how you process feedback.

There’s no pressure to commit. The goal is an honest starting point and a clear path forward.

Cost: $60
(Complimentary with enrollment in Monthly Coaching)
Length: 45–60 minutes

Monthly Coaching

Coaching is structured as a monthly membership.

$120 per month includes:

• One coached live-fire session
• A personalized training focus
• Structured dry-fire homework
• Accountability check-ins

This is not “paying for range time.”
It’s ongoing development with structure and feedback.

Training Frequency

Most clients train twice per month.

Additional coached live-fire sessions are available for $80 each.

Training frequency can be adjusted month to month based on schedule, goals, and budget. If life gets busy, you can scale back without losing your place in the program.

What You Can Expect

• Individualized instruction
• Clear performance standards
• Purposeful practice
• Honest feedback
• An outdoor range environment that makes training enjoyable

Dry-fire is where skills are built.
Live-fire confirms progress and guides adjustments.

Extra Range Time & Community

Members may schedule additional coached range sessions as needed. Additional participants may join a session for $20 per person.

From time to time, I host casual range days or informal meetups, free for monthly members. Nothing formal. Just good training and good company.

Getting Started

If this approach makes sense to you, start with a Skill Assessment & Training Plan session.

If you’d rather talk first, that’s fine too.
